River Canal Rescue Ltd.
River Canal Rescue Ltd. provide a waterways equivalent of the RAC or AA and have chosen TB-Training to provide maintenance training opportunities for their members.
I (Tony Brooks) am very wary about getting involved with commercial organisations because there is always the danger that to do so will compromise the independence I enjoy, in education, to give advice and information that is in the best interest of our customers. However I am happy to work with RCR.
Over the years I have heard complaints about just about every inland marine business I know of. This is hardly surprising in view of the number of boaters I see whilst delivering or promoting our courses. Many of these complaints appear to emanate from misunderstandings or are, from an independent point of view, open to interpretation or of a fairly minor nature, but they still represent dissatisfied customers.
RCR first came to my attention at the 2001 IWA National Waterways Festival at Milton Keynes. I think we were both exhibiting for the first time. At that time I heard of just one slip up, and that was very quickly put right.
Since then I have never heard another complaint, but have heard many testimonials of the service RCR have given to their customers who are in trouble. In my view this is an extraordinary achievement.
The stories I have heard and read about indicate that "Customer Service" really means something to both RCR and their engineers.
